Literature Text

I'll never understand why you enjoy pain so much, she said, a smirk in her eyes
The rest of my life has been unhindered, he parried, half-truths fairer than omissions
Three Rope Burns and one Band-Aid later they had changed roles and titles
At one point they had been evenly matched and perfectly paired
But someone had stepped over the line and a polar switch had initiated a transition
He had donned the clothes of someone fair and she the dress of corruption
On nights with full moons they share champagne under the watchful eye of him
They dance a slow tarantella in remembrance of him
When the tide lapped at their front door they cast pearls into her ocean
They shed their clothes for her fond graces
And while they never regretted the change, they never forgot their pasts
The ceremonies were arduous, but showy with a purpose nonetheless
If they had ever taken for granted those moments then they would lose their magic
In doing so, the immortality of their love would dwindle and die
The stars that once hung about their bowers would fall like boulders
Crashing onto the sheets and shattering on the floor
In one parting breath it would neither matter if she cared or if he had lied
And in lying and caring doomed them both to the same fate
Quite a different ending for a second edition.
And so they were bound to the ceremony
It was an inescapable payment for their lives
Bound to the subtext as they were bound like two blankets on a bed.
... it's late...

I just happened haha.

Word vomit. And I kinda liked it.
